Our Essence
The Crowned In Essence Collective is a cultural enterprise dedicated to creating space for Black and diasporic communities to learn, connect, and invest in their collective futures by affirming and deepening their understanding of Black hair. Through handcrafted Afro-resin jewelry, hair-care workshops, and community based and global programming the Collective aims to uplift and center Black hair as a site for shared knowledge production, connection, and empowerment and to highlight and allow participants to contribute to collective efforts that empower Black hair.
Our Programs

Each program blends creativity, exploration, community, and care and utilizes hair as a pathway to connect youth across cultures through mentorship, storytelling, exploration, and creativity.

The "All About Loving Our Crowns" Initiative
This initiative is a joyful, empowering program dedicated to bringing youth, families, schools, and communities together through pop-ups, workshops, and creative hair care experiences. Centered on self-love, cultural pride, and advocacy, we explore hair as a powerful site of identity, healing, and celebration.
